Importance Of Beauty Sleep



Don't ever underestimate the power of a good nights sleep to help you look good. I always remember my mom and my aunts saying they need their beauty rest, but I never understood what sleep had to do with looking good. Unfortunately, the problem with age related wisdom is that it usually comes too late and knowing how good sleep is for you now is of the upmost importance. A healthy sleep cycle isn't just good for your mind and body, it's essential. You can always tell how good a person feels on the inside because it shows in the radiant look they have on the outside.


The face is the first place people can see whether or not you've been sleeping well, just as you could if you took a look at me. I look tired and worn out, and it seems that even makeup isn't helping much. It's one of the first things people notice about you when you see them, the obvious fact that you aren't getting much sleep. You can be sure if you see someone looking tired, it's because they aren't sleeping well and nothing to do with any type of physical activity. Getting eight hours sleep per night is the ideal amount.


Invest in a good quality mattress, if you're spending that amount of time on it, don't skimp on the cost because you won't sleep well. I am beginning to think this is my problem, and I am going to have to spring for a new mattress before too much more time passes. If your mattress is way too soft, or perhaps too firm, you are not going to sleep well. Something else to watch out for is a bed that doesn't allow enough room for you to stretch out comfortably. It could also be that you share your bed; this often causes problems for both partners. Both of you should be able to spread out if you want to have a good nights rest.


So if you have a comfortable, large bed and you still can't sleep then you must consider your environment. Cluttering your bedroom with things that are not suppose to be in there, i.e. work, is not going to help you relax in this environment. If you have eliminated everything else then consider your lighting or sound that may be causing the sleep problem. Special ‘white noise' machines are available now that counteract any noises in your room and a sleep mask can help with any unwanted light.
